Services Feasibility to Practical Completion
The clients had owned their house for twelve years and were on the verge of selling up and moving on. However, they loved the area, just not the house. They decided to explore the possibilities for a complete make-over and we were commissioned to effect the transformation. This entailed the demolition and rebuilding of the two-storey side return and reconfiguring the rest of the house. We improved the proportions of the bedrooms and bathrooms and created a brand-new master suite. After discussion with the planning officer, at pre-application stage, we obtained permission to change the external materials from brick to smooth render and black timber. The new external finishes give the impression that the whole house is a new build.
